Erfurt
(Jun23rd) – The noise protection zones for Erfurt airport (ERF) will be
extended. As the airport said in a press release on Monday, the new zones will
mean more owners of houses will be able to claim subsidies for the installation
of noise protection devices. Whilst the new day-zone 1 will not include any
homesteads some buildings will fall under the jurisdiction of the new
night-protection-zone.
The airport
emphasized that under the current noise protection regime most of the houses in
questions already had received noise protection and that the number of new
installations will be marginal. Residents can inform themselves at the local
authorities or the airport company about the new scheme. Proper noise protection is imminent under
European and national laws to extend traffic slots or night flight times at
ERF.
