Dortmund
(Aug 6th) – The Hungarian low budget airline WizzAir has announced
another service from Dortmund (DTM) in western Germany. A connection to the
Polish capital Warsaw (WAW) is to extend the airlines presence on its most
important German destination. As an airport press release revealed on Wednesday
the connection is to be established in March 2015 and will include four runs a
week with an Airbus A320-200, which is standard equipment for WizzAir.
So details
on time slots have been given so far. Both the airport and the carrier
expressed content in the fourth Poland service Wizz is going to offer from DTM.
Katowice (KTW), Gdansk GDN) and Wroclaw (WRO). Most of the target audience
aimed at is the already large and still growing Polish communities in the
region around Dortmund, which still counts for much of Germany’s industrial production
capabilities. Despite the crisis of
smaller German airports Wizz seems to give DTM a slightly positive spin.
